Educational Programs

Since 2010 at No Boundaries Youth Theater, Darren has developed and brought theater programs and productions to over 8,000 children and young adults from preschool through college-age. During his time serving as both Executive and Artistic Director, the company was recognized as Connecticut’s Best Children’s Theater by Connecticut Magazine. Darren is now available to help develop educational theater programming at all levels.

Single-day, on-site presentations can take several forms: an introduction to creating theater; acting games and improv to build teamwork, creativity, or self-confidence; or a focus on understanding and performing a specific dramatic work. Longer programs—either a few days, weeks, or a full school year—can also be customized for any group and led by Darren or by No Boundaries Youth Theater staff.

The curriculum for each program is developed based upon pre-program meetings with principals, teachers, or group leaders, and may be designed to align with specific literacy or other curriculum, National Core Arts Standards, and Common Core State Standards for English and Language Arts.

Drama Clubs and Productions

Darren is also available, at no cost, to speak to parent and teacher groups about developing drama programs for schools, youth organizations, or summer camps, and can also advise on staffing and producing school theatrical productions at any level. Fees to develop or lead such programs are negotiable.
